Being unique can be a very difficult thing to do, especially right now in a time where people can be and do anything they want and show it to the world. There is a surplus of Minecraft realms that one can dive into and start playing on, but what makes one shine brighter than the rest? The one that is unique will quickly begin to separate itself from the rest and start turning heads.  

Minecraft quickly became one of the most popular games in the world and with it came the millions of creative minds that wanted to pursue a life with Minecraft in the center. There is nothing wrong with having a surplus of people, but it can quickly become an issue if you are trying to take a small idea and turn it into something that will be around for years to come. Becoming a server that people recognize and want to continue to log in to play on day in and day out requires you to think outside the box. There is plenty of avenues that have already become exhausted in the world of Minecraft, if you continue to follow the paths of others then you will quickly be forgotten with the rest.  

Being unique is not an easy task but if you do not want to do something to stand out then you begin to fade quickly. Minecraft is an unforgiving world where there are servers in every direction to go and play on. Most players will log into a server, play for an hour, leave that one just to go and play another hour on a different one. They will continue this pattern until they become bored and then never log in to that server again. These are recycled ideas that players are used to seeing and once they see it for the thousandth time they leave and join another to try and find something new and exciting to explore.  

Minecraft was started on taking simplicity and turning it into something magical. This has been lost in these servers that use the same materials and ideas. It becomes exhausting seeing the same thing continuously. If you are unique and show players what is so special about your server that they can’t find anywhere else, then where do you think, they are going to want to spend their time? My best guess is on the new server that gives them a unique, one-of-a-kind experience they can’t find anywhere else. 

So why be unique in Minecraft? The answer is simple, if you want an everlasting legacy, create memories for the players that they can’t get anywhere else. If they can make a memory in a place you create, that is something that can’t be reproduced or bought, you have to create it by being uniquely you.
