There is so much complexity to creating a Minecraft server, many people don’t realize all of the behind the scenes work that needs to be done. The developers who create the world you play in are often underappreciated and go unnoticed. Their work makes having a server possible, and in the following we will go over just how important they are. 

In order for a server to succeed it has to be unique, it must stand out amongst the crowd of servers that exist today. In order to create something unique, you have to get an idea of what you want, and then this is where the developers step in and make that come to life. By adding commands, specialized items, game mechanics, etc. they can create a world beyond our imagination. Without their ability to put the idea into real action in the commands they create, all servers would cease to exist, especially the unique ones that create a magical one-of-a-kind experience for the players that keeps them coming back for more.  

Developers not only create the space in which we play, but they also create a community with the ideas and items that they bring to life in the server. By creating a world unique enough to bring players in, developers keep creating and changing things to keep that community together and interested in the well-being of the world. They can quickly create a diverse community of people who have one common goal in mind within the server. All difference disappears when the developers let the players focus on their designs and things they implement into the game, and listen to feedback and make changes when necessary for the community within. 

One of the most difficult parts of a developer’s job is the upkeep that is needed to keep a server healthy and stable. If there are any problems that arise such as technical difficulties or issues with server gameplay and updates, the developers are the ones who have to troubleshoot and fix the issues at hand. This requires a lot of quick thinking and adapting as the problems arise. This is no simple task and it requires a lot of developers to become keen on detail and make sure they are being proactive about problems and making sure small issues get resolved before they become big ones.  

Having a developer is essential to the growth and creation of a server. Without a good group of developers, a server can only remain an idea with no real substance to go with it. These people are the ones who often get overlooked, but without them we would not have the unique worlds within Minecraft that we play each and every day.
